Four Simple Rules Of Gym Etiquette

  1. We are here to work out, not socialize.
  2. Don’t hang around the equipment if you’re not using it. Don’t sit on the exercise machines between sets gazing Zen-like into infinity. Don’t talk on your iPhone, or shuffle your iPod. Either use the weight, or walk away so someone else can.
  3. Clean up after yourself. Tripping over a 50lb barbell that you left behind is not fun.
  4. Unless I am doing something that you feel is physically dangerous to you, leave me alone. Don’t comment on my form, don’t offer to spot for me, don’t try to chat me up. If I want your help, I’ll ask for it.
